Corner Bakery Catering Experience - Sponsored Post

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of sampling a (free) catered lunch from Corner Bakery. I have always enjoyed my lunch breaks at Corner Bakery no matter if I was in Chicago, Washington or anywhere else because the menu and quality are always consistent. For all the years though I had never experience or even looked into their catering business (frankly I never had the need). I am glad to have had the chance and make some co-workers extra happy.

The actual catering options are quite extensive for all meals and occasions. The website is also very helpful and easy to navigate to place an order. I was offered a Medium Corner Classic that includes the following:

Lucky for me I wasn't given too many choices for the order and only had to choose my sides and dessert. They gave me the sandwich basket that comes with a variety of 12 sandwiches cut in half - which is more than plenty to serve 12 people. In fact, I think most only opted for half a sandwich given the sides and desert available. For sides I went with the classic soup/salad combo - Cesar salad and tomato basil soup. I was impressed with the quantity of both, and also impressed with the attention to detail regarding the soup. The gave us two large buckets that arrived in hot container carriers. Soup serving ladles, bowls and spoons. It was very easy to present. The salad was also large and came with all the fixings and dressing on the side. The sweet tooth in me chose the Sweets Basket - it came with an assortment of cookies, brownies, bunt cakes, etc. Deliciously unnecessary.

They say it serves 11-14 people but I'm skeptical that it couldn't feed closer to 20. 12 people would get a full sandwich, a bowl of soup, some salad AND a dessert. That's a lot of food. The pricing for all of this is $195 - which sounds like a lot but for 15-20 people is reasonable, especially for a catered experience. So for any office/family holiday parties that need food (and a lot of it) definitely go online and mix/match for an easy and affordable catered experience.
