NYE at Mercadito

I celebrated NYE at Mercadito with a wonderful 5 course meal and open bar. We drank and stuffed ourselves to the point we couldn't even finish all the tacos they brought out. Since the event is more about friends and drinking, I'll just post some of the pictures instead of deep descriptions. I will say I want to go back and focus on the food and explore the menu. Our favorite dish was the queso fundido with chorizo, and the best drink was the pepino el pyu, garnished with cucumber. The best taco that we managed to eat was the vegetarian rajas. Very refreshing after everything else consumed. The flan dessert was tasty but my taste buds were far gone by that point. Great time and amazing value ($40 food + $40 open bar). I would consider going back if they have another NYE party, but I have an entire year to decide. Full menu here.

The whole show with tacos, rice, queso, drinks

The guacamole did not last long to start the night.

The dorado ceviche (mahi mahi) and the queso fundido (our favorite) for the second course

Tacos for main course, two of the four platters brought out. Vegetarian on top, fish on bottom.

Flan dessert and two of the various margaritas sampled. The green with cucumber was the best.
